About AMCE
Aerospace & Mechanical Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd (trading as AMCE) is an Australian-owned and operated professional engineering organisation founded in 1994. Headquartered in South Windsor, New South Wales — strategically positioned adjacent to RAAF Base Richmond — AMCE has provided high-integrity engineering services, airworthiness certification support, and sovereign technology solutions to the aerospace and defence sectors for more than three decades.
We specialise in transforming complex operational challenges into certified, flight-proven solutions. Our dual identity as both a trusted engineering consultancy and a proven manufacturer of proprietary aeronautical products enables us to deliver unmatched value across the full aerospace capability lifecycle.
Our Mission
To design, develop, and deliver certified aerospace engineering solutions and sovereign aeronautical technologies that enhance mission capability, assure airworthiness, protect aircrew, and reduce through-life support costs for Defence and industry partners.
Our Vision
To be Australia's foremost agile sovereign aerospace engineering partner — recognized internationally for engineering integrity, operational pragmatism, and rapid delivery of mission-ready aeronautical innovations.
Operating Values
- Technical Integrity: Uncompromised compliance verification and rigorous analytical modeling.
- Crew Safety: Mission success begins with human factors and occupant protection.
- Commercial Agility: Rapid responsiveness without bureaucratic overhead.
- Sovereign Capability: 100% Australian owned, investing in Australian engineering depth.
30+ Years of Operational Performance (1994–2026)
Over three decades, AMCE has played an integral engineering role supporting major Australian Defence Force fleet programs:
Company Establishment
Founded as a specialist aeronautical and mechanical engineering consultancy supporting civil aircraft modifications, flight testing, and structural certification in New South Wales.
Defence Aviation Expansion
Contracted by the Airlift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) and major Primes to design, certify, and support tactical transport upgrades across RAAF fleet assets.
Urgent Ballistic Armour Deployed (Operation Slipper)
In response to urgent operational requirements (UOR) in the Middle East Area of Operations, AMCE designed, validated, and fielded lightweight multi-hit ballistic armour systems for RAAF C-130 Hercules aircraft.
C-130 Paratroop Door Negator Fleet Rollout
Developed and certified a high-stiffness negator spring upgrade and patented Slide Spanner tool for the RAAF C-130J fleet, eliminating a severe chronic occupational health and safety (OH&S) hazard for Loadmasters.
Sovereign Capability & Global Allied Growth
Expanding sovereign engineering delegation under DASR 21 regulations, supplying allied international air forces (USAF, USCG, RCAF, RNZAF), and partnering with Tier-1 defence primes.
