Mission Ready Starts with Crew Safety

In aerospace operations, safety is not merely a checklist; it is an active engineering discipline. At AMCE, safety governs every structural calculation, mechanism tolerance, material selection, and flight manual instruction we produce.

We believe that operational readiness and human safety are inseparable: an aircraft modification is only successful if it enhances mission effectiveness while mitigating risks to the personnel who fly, load, and maintain the aircraft.

01

System Safety Engineering & Hazard Analysis

Conducting systematic safety evaluations in accordance with ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882:

  • Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA): Identifying and categorizing the criticality of potential failure conditions (Minor, Major, Hazardous, Catastrophic).
  • System Safety Assessment (SSA): Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) verifying single-point failure immunity.
  • Failure Tolerant Design: Redundant retention and fail-safe mechanical linkages.
02

Occupant Crashworthiness & Restraint

Ensuring maximum survivability during emergency landing or high-G deceleration events:

  • Emergency Landing Load Factors: Structural certification adhering to 9g forward, 3g upward, 1.5g lateral, and 6g downward crash conditions per FAR Part 25.561.
  • Seating & Harness Integration: Structural validation of crew stations, troop seating, and certified tie-down restraint hardware.
  • Secondary Impact Protection: Energy-absorbing design and removal of sharp head-strike projections in aircrew working zones.
03

Aircrew Ergonomics & Occupational Health (OH&S)

Preventing acute injury and chronic operational physical strain for flight personnel:

  • Musculoskeletal Protection: Designing mechanical counterbalances (such as our C-130 Paratroop Door Negator Upgrade) to prevent spinal disc trauma.
  • Operational Glove Compatibility: Controls, handles, and latches sized for aircrew wearing cold-weather and CBRN flight gloves.
  • Confined Space Kinematics: Eliminating awkward torso twist and hyper-extension lifting postures inside tactical cargo vestibules.
04

Material Flammability & Maintainer Protection

Protecting cabin survivability and ground technicians during routine flight-line maintenance:

  • FAR 25.853 Conformance: Rigorous 12-second and 60-second vertical burn, smoke density, and toxic gas emission qualification for all non-metallic materials.
  • Pinch & Recoil Elimination: Engineering patented maintenance tools (such as our single-maintainer Slide Spanner) to eliminate knuckle crush and high-tension recoil hazards.
  • Positive Mechanical Retention: 100% mechanical fastening for ballistic armour, eliminating adhesive VOC emissions and loose panel FOD hazards.
Proven Safety Record

14+ Years with Zero In-Service Safety Incidents

Since its initial fielding on the RAAF C-130J Hercules fleet in 2012, AMCE's Paratroop Door Negator Upgrade and Slide Spanner tool system have operated across five allied air forces with zero in-service mechanical failures and zero reported door-lifting back injuries. This real-world operational milestone demonstrates our foundational philosophy: Mission Ready Starts with Crew Safety.
