From Operational Deficiencies to Certified Flight Hardware

AMCE occupies a unique position in the defence engineering market: we do not merely consult or analyze; we develop and manufacture certified, flight-proven aeronautical products. Our practical hardware development experience directly enhances our consulting engineering services.

We take complex operational challenges faced by military aircrew and maintainers, developing turnkey hardware solutions that resolve acute deficiencies, reduce life-cycle maintenance costs, and enhance aircraft mission capability with zero permanent airframe modifications.

Development Methodology

The 5-Stage Product Development Cycle

STAGE 01

Requirements Definition

Engaging directly with aircrew, Loadmasters, and maintainers to translate operational pain points into strict engineering specifications, human factors criteria, and flight envelope constraints.

STAGE 02

Rapid Prototyping & Fit-Checks

Fabricating full-scale 3D printed and machined mockups for trial installation on operational aircraft, verifying clearances, maintainer access, and ergonomic kinematics prior to final tooling.

STAGE 03

Laboratory Qualification Testing

Executing rigorous testing at accredited test facilities:

  • Environmental: MIL-STD-810 vibration, shock, salt fog, temperature
  • Structural: Proof, limit, and ultimate static load tests to MIL-S-5700
  • Ballistic: Live-fire V50 limit testing per MIL-STD-662F
  • Flammability: Vertical burn and toxicity per FAR 25.853
STAGE 04

Flight Test & Service Trials

Drafting Flight Test Orders (FTOs), flight hazard assessments, and collaborating with military Aircraft Research and Development Units (ARDU) through initial operational evaluation trials.

STAGE 05

Sovereign Manufacturing & Kits

Full-rate production partnering with accredited Australian aerospace machinists and ballistic composite molders, delivering serialized fleet kits with NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs).
